| T-20 Cricket Tournament | | YSCC Doda sails into Semis | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Kishtwar, October 13:- Young Star Cricket Club Doda on Thursday trounced Eagle Cricket Club by 6 wickets to enter into the semi final in the ongoing T-20 Cricket Tournament being organized by 74 Bn CRPF at Chowgan ground Kishtwar.
Earlier toss was won by ECC Ramban and they opted to bat first. While batting they scored a total of 116 runs in their stipulated 20 over’s by losing their 8 wickets. Shansha and Tuhid-ul-Alam scored 19 and 17 runs while from YSCC Doda, Babar Shah and Raja Butt shared three wickets each.
In reply, YSCC Doda chased down the target by losing their 4 wickets. Abdul Kabir and Ashraf played a fine knock of 34 and 33 runs respectively while from RCC, Jagdish and Khalid shared two wickets each.Babar Shah of Young Star Cricket Club Doda was adjudged as man of the match for his best bowling performance.
In another match, Mandal Tigers Kishtwar beat Ramban Cricket Club by 36 runs. After winning the toss Mandal Tigers Kishtwar elected to bat first and scored 147/9 in 20 overs. While chasing the target of 148 runs, Ramban Cricket Club bundled out for 111 runs. Owais Ahmed of Mandal Tigers Kishtwar was adjudged as Man of the match for his best bowling spell for 5/15 in 4 over’s including a hatric.
CO 74 Bn CRPF Shri Baldev Singh and CO 76 Bn CRPF Shri R.K.Thakur were present on the occasion who congratulated the YSCC Doda cricket team for their fabulous win against Ramban team.
It is pertinent to mention here that, the tournament is being organized by 74 Bn CRPF Kishtwar in which top eight teams from District Kishtwar, Doda, Ramban and Udhampur are participating whereas the final will be held on 15th of this month. The matches were officiated by Firdous Choudhary, Riaz Batt, Ashok Kumar, Vaneet Butyal, Daisy Parihar, Uttam Kanwar and Aslam Baba.
