3rd defeat in a row for J&K women | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT SRINAGAR, Oct 13: Hosts Jammu and Kashmir today lost their third consecutive suffering a six-wicket defeat in the hands of visiting Haryana in ongoing North Zone Inter-state U-19 Women’s Cricket Tournament at Kashmir University ground, here. Batting first, after winning the toss, J&K bundled out for a paltry total of 60 runs in 34 overs of the given 50 overs. Only Nusrat (15) was able to cross the two-figure mark. From Haryana, Sheetal and Meghna claimed three wickets each.
In Reply, Haryana romped home in the 24th over with Chetan being top scorer, who contributed 13 runs. From J&K, Sapna claimed two wickets.
Meanwhile, in another match played at Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket Stadium, Delhi registered a one-run win over Punjab.
Batting first, Delhi posted 133 all out in 43 overs. Vishali Rathore remained top scorer with a well stroked 41. From Punjab, Harkal claimed three, while Juhi nailed two wickets. Later, Punjab fell short of two runs after they lost all their wickets for 132 runs in 40 overs. Taniya waged a lone battle with a defiant 49. From Delhi, Sanjana bowled with guts and clinched four important wickets.
