JAMMU, Oct 13: Two-day inter-school judo competition of Jammu district, organised by Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) started at Gymnasium hall of University of Jammu, here today.
On the opening day, competition in boys’ under-14 and under-17 age groups held under the guidance of penal of experts including Varinder Sharma, Raman Sharma, Jyoti, Satika and Dolli Gill.
Earlier, the competitions were declared open by Director Sports and Physical Education of University of Jammu, Prof Dhian Singh Bhau. He was accompanied by Assistant Director, Sonam Angchok as also officers of DYSS.

Under-14 yr: 30 kg: Sumar Singh, Oriental Academy, Ist; Shivam Sharma, SOS School, 2nd. 35 kg: Shubam Sharma, SOS School, Ist; Udhav Gupta, KC International School, 2nd. 40 kg: Jeevan Singh, SOS School, Ist; Abhik Singh, KC International School, 2nd. 45 kg: Kunal Sharma, Shastri Memorial School, Ist; Kawleen Singh, JK Public School, 2nd. 50 kg: Jaspreet Singh, SOS School, Ist; Kanav Gupta, Army School Kaluchak, 2nd. Plus 50 kg: Shivam Manhas, JK Public School, Ist and Ashutosh Zutshi, Shastri Memorial School, 2nd.
