| SDM stresses on realizing tourism potential during Chattrairi public darbar | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Chattriari (Dudu Basantgarh) Oct 13: The relentless streak of surging Dudu Basantgarh as one of the most vibrant sub division of J&K was reflected yesterday in a Developmental Works Review Meeting-cum-Public Durbar/Rendezvous organized under the dynamic administration of Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Amit Sharma in a tourism-centric hilly corner Chattriari, which is located at about 30 kms distance from Ramnagar and mid-way enroute to the headquarters of Sub Division located at Basantgarh.
Several officers and officials of key Government departments such as Revenue, Police, Rural Development, Forest, Health, Education, Agriculture, Horticulture, Social Welfare, PDD, PHE, PWD and other functional departments headquartered at Dudu Basantgarh gave detailed presentations about the ongoing developmental works in various nooks and corners of Dudu Basantgarh while noting down burning issues of public pertaining to their respective departments in which SDM Amit Sharma directed them to address in a time bound manner.
A huge gamut of people from all nearby areas such as Keya, Kaitha, Kumarli, Chakal, Majouri, Rasli Thakrai, Malote, Rasli Gadheran, Chattriari, Mang, Gandh Sarel, Padder, Pattian, Rothal and many other remote belts of the Sub Division.
A unique feature of this Durbar was that this is the first ever Durbar/Rendezvous of head of Sub Division held at this remote village of Udhampur district in which officers /officials of more than a score of Government departments participated and SDM Dudu Basantgarh Amit Sharma specifically emphasized on the fact of realizing the virgin tourism potential of this beautiful Sub Division which is bestowed with matchless thick green cover, mountainous ranges, waterfalls, meadows, rivers, trekking routes, plantations, pollution free zones which need to be explored by public all across the state and nation.
For this purpose, the official website of Dudu Basantgarh Sub Division (dudubasantgarh.gov.in) is almost at the verge of its inauguration in which this tourism potential can be realized by looking at photo gallery of the same by people all across the globe and it can become major tourist attraction centre in J&K in coming years which is one of the major natural industries of the state.
SDM Amit Sharma also congratulated newly elected Sarpanches in the area and expected them to play proactive role in maintaining the pace of sustainable growth and uniform development in the Sub Division.
He told them to play most judicious role regarding their empowerment being done by the Government to disseminate developmental powers to the gross-root levels of democracy.
