| Farmers should adopt organic farming | | | Early Times Report
KATHUA, October 13 : The Founder of Nature-Mankind Friendly Global Movement, former power minister Babu Singh said the organic based integrating cooperative agriculture model should be adopted by the farmer community in order to save the agriculture system and entire mankind while he was addressing a meeting of farmers at his office Kathua.
He said that the small holdings and chemical based agriculture system in state as well as in entire country has totally been failed and proved very dangerous for both farmer community and entire mankind of the country.
He said that it has badly affected the farmer’s community economically and dragged the farmers to commit suicide and left the general masses to face the dangerous diseases like cancer, cordial attacks, kidney failure and etc.
He said that the chemical technology was brought by the few capitalists on the name of green revolution to increase the production with the collaboration of the government with a motive to plunder the huge money from the pockets of innocent farmers by making the soil as habitual to survive on chemicals.
He urged the farmers that if the government fails to bring the constructive agriculture policy let unite all the farmers to convert their agriculture land from small structure to large structure untidely to form the large farm that should be not less than 100 acre in which multi enterprises would be established. He said that this only the option left behind to protect the agriculture sector and human society by feeding them with pure and healthy food.
