| Grant civil, political rights to Pok, Pok refugees says Bhim Singh | | |
Arnia/Vijaypur | Dec 8 Nyay yatri led to Prof. Bhim Singh was given raising reception by the villagers bordering Pakistan on the international border in Jammu District, today. Thousand of people received the Yatra and his team riding ‘Bhim Rath’ from Lal Qila to Lal Chowk. Addressing massive reception rallies Prof. Singh called on the state and Central government to grant civil and political rights to Pak refugees who have been residing in J&K since 1947 and provide comprehensive settlement of Pok refugees. He also demanded justice to the people living on the border with full compensation for the loss of their land damaged due to mining and demanded compensation to the families of the victims killed because of the mining. According to press release Prof. Bhim described the slogan for self-rule as a dangerous for the security of the country. He demanded immediate panel action against those who are accusing the Indian army defending the civilians and their property by their sacrifices. Nyay Yatra from Lal Qila to Lal Chowk will build historic bridge which mean freedom and secularism. The yatra will enter the city of temples, Jammu on December 9 from Satwari. The yatra is accompanied by MLA B.S Mankotra, Yashpal Kundal, former minister R.L Khajuria, Rajesh Padgotra, Kundan Sharma and other.
