| RR distributes furniture to schools | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Poonch , Oct 13: Rashtriya Rifles battalion under the aegis of Counter Insurgency Force (Romeo) in a project under Operation Sadbhavana undertook the noble task of improving basic infrastructure and distributed furniture like chairs, benches, almirahs and tables to Government Middle School, Kiran Moorain Arai, district.
The items were handed over in a function organised by a Rashtriya Rifles Battalion at Kiran Moorain Arai which was attended by
school teachers, Sarpanchs and Panchs to witness this highly appreciated event.
The village elders and the prominent personalities of the area appreciated the help and whole hearted support and the goodwill and bonhomie extended by the Army to the needy school children. Now the children of this school would not have to sit on
floors in the ensuing winter season. While speaking on the occasion the headmaster of the school said that the projects initiated by the battalion in the remote areas of Kiran Moorain Arai, District Poonch has earned the army a healthy rapport and reputation with the locals in these remote areas, apart from giving the classes a new look and it has motivated children to study and perform better.
