EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Oct 15Shri Ram Sena Jammu and Kashmir has castigated the state government for ignoring the rights of fair sex comprising the Hindu community and demanded Holiday on Karva Chauth day.
Shri Ram Sena state president Rajiv Mahajan said that state government is keeping its eyes shut to look after the plight of Hindu community women who observe fast of Karva Chauth even without taking water for the complete day till the moon appears in the late evening. The women working in government departments and other organizations are bound to perform their official duties under severe conditions having hardest fast and state government has no courtesy towards this fair sex. This is a total injustice with this fair and pious community, Mahajan added.
Mahajan demanded the government to declare ‘Gazetted Holiday’ or ‘Special Holiday for Women on Karva Chauth. Mahajan appealed all social organisations working for the rights of women to raise their voice to provide justice to dominant section of society( Karva Chauth fast holders).
