| Stock ration in far flung areas ahead of winter: Sheikh Nasir | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Kishtwar, Oct 14: Congress leader and former District President Youth Congress Kishtwar Sheikh Nasir Hussain Advocate has demanded that ahead of winter season appropriate stock of ration and other essentials be stocked in far flung areas of district Kishtwar. In a statement issued to press Sheikh Nasir has said that it has been seen that every year during winters the surface link to Marwah, Warwan, Dachhan, Padder and other far flung areas of mountainous district Kishtwar get closed due to heavy snowfall and these areas face acute shortage of ration and other essentials. He has further said that due to shortage of ration and other essentials the residents have to suffer and to overcome this problem the state exchequer has also to bear extra burden as the ration and other essential are being provided by air to these areas. He has suggested that in order to avoid such difficult situation the only solution is to stock the ration ahead of winter season. Sheikh Nasir has appealed to the minister for Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution to direct the concerned officials to dispatch the appropriate quota of ration to these areas so that the problem of scarcity of rations and other essentials like kerosene oil etc is avoided during coming winter season.
