| District Task Force Committee approves Self Employment cases | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Samba, Oct 14. The District Task Force Committee of District Samba met here today and screened the cases for sanctioning loan cases in favour of un-employed youth under Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme and J&K Self Employment Scheme.
It was informed that 75 cases were examined by the committee and candidates were interviewed, out of which 64 cases were cleared for setting up Manufacturing Units, Small Scale Industrial Units, Retail/Business, Servicing Units and recommended to various banks for sanctioning loan in their favour. An amount of Rs.2.67 Crores under PMEGP and Rs.1.45 Crores shall be advanced by the banks to these entrepreneurs for establishment of income generating units.
The General Manager, DIC and Assistant Director, Employment Samba informed that the subsidy in all these cases shall be provided to the entrepreneurs which shall facilitate sustenance of their units of self employment.
It was further informed that these will help unemployed youth to establish the units which not only provide the self employment opportunities to these youth but would also generate employment avenues for other unemployed youth in the district.
