Bhim appeals PM to act fast on Telangana

JAMMU, Oct 14:Prof. Bhim Singh, Chairman, JKNPP today made a strong and compassionate appeal to Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, to act fast in universal response to the urges, wishes and desirability of granting Telangana Statehood. Prof. Bhim Singh was inaugurating one-day Round Table Conference in Jubilee Hall, Hyderabad organized by the Telangana United Front headed by Prof. Keshav Rao Yadav. Prof. Bhim Singh was invited from Delhi to the Round Table Conference as the Chief Guest on the occasion. The Round Table Conference was presided by Acharya Konda Lakshman Bapu, 97 years old Telangana movement. Popularly known as Bapuji Acharya Konda Lakshman resigned as Minister of Andhra Pradesh in 1969 in support of Telangana State.
Prof. Bhim Singh in his appeal to the Prime Minister urged him to read the writings on the wall of the history of Hyderabad that every soul, every political party and every member of the civil society is with the Telangana movement demanding Statehood. He in his message to the Prime Minister said, "Wisdom lies in daring" and Dr. Manmohan Singh has both wisdom and courage in this regard.
Singh also presented his latest book on J&K, ‘The Blunders & Way Out’ to Shri Konda Lakshman Bapu and Keshavlu, a former Minister and Freedom Fighter who were present in this conference.
On Jammu and Kashmir, the NPP Chief lashed out at the foreign agents who have been advocating plebiscite in J&K, only for their personal interest and gains.
