| PCB organises awareness prog on Bio-Medical Waste Management | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
KATHUA, Oct 14:J&K Pollution Control Board organized a one day training- cum-awareness programme on Bio-Medical Waste Management at Tangri Palace here today. The Doctors and paramedical staff from Government as well as private hospitals and health care establishments attended the programme.
The aim of programme was to impart training to the professionals dealing with handling generation reception, storing , transportation , treatment and disposal of Bio- medical waste in various hospitals, dispensaries, nursing home, Pathological labs, animals houses and other research related activators to handle Bio-Medical waste strictly as per the provision of BMW (H&M) rules of 1998 framed by Government of India , Ministry of Environment and Forest and also as per guide lines of central pollution control Board. A number of experts / professionals threw light on the topic and prominent among them were CMO, Kathua Dr R.K Chopra, Dr. A.K Gupta, Dr. Hardev gupta , Dr, Anju Sidha from PCB, Jammu and Sanjay Rathore district Officer PCB, Kathua.
