Kishtwar October 14:- City Warriors Kishtwar and Mandal Tigers Kishtwar after winning the semi final matches qualified for the final of ongoing T-20 Cricket Tournament to be played at Chowghan ground Kishtwar on Saturday. On third day of ongoing T-20 Cricket Tournament at Kishtwar which has been organized by CRPF 74th Battalion, the first Semi Final match was played between Mini Cricket Club Bhaderwah and City Warriors Kishtwar. Winning the Toss, Mini Cricket Club Bhaderwah elected to bat. At the start, the batsmen of Mini Cricket Club Bhaderwah scores the runs at brisk rate and it was hoped that it will be a high score match. But the bowlers of City Warriors Kishtwar come back strongly into the match and bundled out the visiting for merely on 99/9 runs in 20 over. Rashid Baba and Fida Hussain of City Warriors Kishtwar each took 03 wickets. While chasing low score target, City Warriors Kishtwar started its run chase by maintain high run rate throughout the inning and easily chase the target of 100 runs with 6 over’s to spare. Sohel Ahmed put two “6s” and scored 18 Runs. Shabir Ahmed, the Opener batsman with 03 “Fours” scored 13 Runs. Arshad Mir remains not out on 21 runs, Sohal and Rashid Najar scores 13 runs each. Rashid Najar of City Warriors Kishtwar declared man of the match for his all-round performance.
In another semi final played between Young Star Cricket Club Doda and Mandal Tigers Kishtwar .Young Star Cricket Club Doda won the toss and elected to bat first. After winning the toss, YSCC Doda fails to perform as per the expectation of the people and bundled out for 77 runs in 15 Over’s. Abdul Kabir is only batsman who resisted the good blowing of Mandal Tigers Kishtwar and scored 23 Runs for his team. Yasir Dar also scores 20 Runs.Owais Ahmed of Mandal Tiger Kishtwar remains the star in this match as well and got his 2nd consecutive 5 wicket haul in this match as well including his 2nd hatric.
While chasing Mandal Tigers Kishtwar, achieve the stipulated target in just 07 Overs, with 7 wickets left. Karan Sen, the Captain of the team scored 32 Runs in which he hit six boundaries and one six whereas Asif Hussain scored 28 Runs with five boundaries. Owais Ahmed has been declared as man of the match for his brilliant bowling performance.
The final match of the tournament will be played tomorrow, which is expected to be a thrilling cricket encounter.
