| KC Public School celebrates book week | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Oct 14: 'Book Week' celebrated between October 10 to 14 in KC Public School involves a host of activities for the children of the Jr. School. The children were introduced and encouraged to new concepts of reading such as story enactment, Book nook, shape poem, creative writing, poetry writing, book buddies, etc. A scholastic Book Fair was also organized for parents, teachers and students. Many parents, grandparents, uncle and aunts took the initiative of sparing some time to narrate stories of valour and moral value to children in school. The main purpose behind the Book week was to not only inculcate the habit of reading but also give impetus to the creative abilities and imaginative skills of the students. Catchy phrases, meaningful quotations and colourful boards were displayed in Jr. School during this period. The Headmistress Mrs. Sofia Rana motivated and encouraged students to read good books while appreciating the relatives who came to school to narrate stories to the children.
