| BJP holds protest demonstration | | |
JAMMU | DEC 8 Hundreds of BJP workers of Jammu West constituency held a massive protest demonstration. Under the leadership of Sunil Dimple President Pardesh Bharitya Janta Party Labour Cell. The protest was held against the failure of the coalition Govt. to provide the basic amenities to the people of the Jammu West constituency. The protestor’s also burnt their effigies of ministers for PDD and Municipal Corporation for not providing and lighting mercury street light on the Main Road, from Rehari, Amphalla to New Plot,, Janipur, Roop Nagar, and High Court Road Jammu. Addressing the demonstration Sunil Dimple alleged complete failure of Govt. in providing better facilities to the people of the constituency. The sanitation conditions in all the localities. He alleged that mercury lamps installed after our great struggle under core area development programme spending lacks of rupees are not lighted due to which frequent theft and accidents taking place in New Plot, Janipur Bantalab Road and in Jammu West. He demanded reduction of unit charges of electricity and the rent should be charged accordingly to the reading of the meter. He further warned that Govt planning for imposing house tax will be strongly opposed as weaker section BPL. Labour class cannot afford to pay house tax as they are already facing rising prices and already burdened by the VAT taxes, toll taxes income taxes, property tax, huge PDD bills and other taxes. Those who were present include Vikram Randaw, Rakesh Gupta Mandal President, Baldev Raj Thappa, Ishar Dass, Ashok Khanna, Mohinder Sharma, Balwant Kumar, Ajay Mahajan, Mukesh Gupta, R.P Sharma, Viping Gupta, Rakesh Sharma, Partap Singh, Babau Singh, Vinit Gupta, Thoru Ram and many others.
