| LC chairman | | Guv approves Malhotra’s appointment | | Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, Oct 14: Governor N. N. Vohra in exercise of the powers conferred upon him under Section 61 (2), read with Section 59 (1) of the Constitution of Jammu and Kashmir, has appointed Amrit Malhotra, MLC, to perform the duties of the Chairman of the Jammu and Kashmir legislative council on the completion of the term of Arvinder Singh Micky as Member of the Council.
Micky, Deputy Chairman, was performing the duties of the office of the Chairman of the Council. Governor approved the proposal of the state government to this effect today. |
