| Grand annual day function celebrated at Ganderbal | | | Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, Oct 14: Qamria Model Higher Secondary Educational Institute Ganderbal celebrated its Annual Day with full grandeur on October 15, 2011.
Prominent personalities, some state dignitaries including Justice A. M.Mir (Retd) Chairman J&K State Commission for Backward classes as the chief guest, Khawaja Renzushah as guest of honour and M.A.Shuntho Additional District Development Commissioner, Ganderbal and other respectable dignitaries were present. MLC Sheikh Ghulam Rasool was applauded for his vital contribution in developing the institute and its education standard was present to grace the occasion.
The parents of the students of the Institute along with a good number of respected citizens of District Ganderbal attended the function of the Institute. March past, mass-drill, unfurling of Institute Flag and many cultural activities were the prominent features of the function which provided a great entertainment to the august gathering.
The great personalities including the Chief guest justice A. M. Mir, M. A. Shuntho, Additional District Development Commissioner, Ganderbal and many others who delivered their inspiring speeches, greatly applauded the role being played by Qamria institute in promoting curricular and co-curricular activities and imparting quality education to the students especially of weaker sections of the society.
Institute gave awards in honour of its students who got selected for different professional courses and qualified Kashmir Administrative Examination this year 2011. Function started at 10 a.m. with the recitation of the instinctual song ‘Trana Qamria’ and concluded at 2 p.m. with a word of thanks to all those who participated in the function.
