Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 14: Roots in Kashmir the front-line group of Kashmiri Pandits have welcomed the statement of Anna Hazare which dissociates itself from the comments of Prashant Bhushan on Kashmir. It is a welcome step and a much needed one.
Aditya Raj Kaul, a senior leader, Roots in Kashmir said that the people like Bhushan are a blemish on the Anna movement. They added that much as they would like to cleanse their sins by being associated with the Anna movement the truth is that both Bhushans are overground apologists for Maoists and separatists of various hues.
Rashneek Kher, another leader Roots in Kashmir said that we see it as the first step for cleansing of the team Anna. It would prudent for people like Anna Hazare to completely dissociate themselves with people who have dubious record of having being chaperones for terrorists and fascist Maoist movements.
It creates an oxymoronic situation when on one hand Kiran Bedi and Arvind Kejriwal shout themselves hoarse saying Bharat Mata ki Jai and Vande Matram they have among them people who want to break the Indian Nation. Such people as Bhushan being a part of such a noble mission is nothing more but mere opportunism.
They said that Prashant Bhushan has either not read the terms of plebiscite or has simply forgotten them. Even two previous Secretary Generals of United Nations (UN) have made it amply clear that neither Plebiscite nor the referendum under UN is possible in Kashmir now. They have reiterated that such positions are simply irrelevant now.Yet Prashant Bhushan lives in a make believe world.
