| CBI chargesheets Jayalalithaa in corruption case | | |
New Delhi, July 31: The Central Bureau of Investigation on Monday filed a chargesheet against former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalthaa in a case of corruption.
Jayalalthaa is accused of having received 89 demand drafts worth Rs two crore on her birthday celebrations in 1992 during her tenure as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.
Besides Jayalalithaa, two others have been booked under the Corruption Act.
