| National Integration Camp in progress at Jammu | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, OCTOBER 15- The NCC cadets at the ongoing National Integration Camp at Nagrota, Conducted by NCC Group, Jammu under the aegis of NCC Directorate J& K today witnessed an impressive equipment display by army. The Cadets were briefed on DCB and were also taken for a visit to a Border Out Post
About specially selected 320 Boys and 180 Girl NCC Cadets representing all the states of the country are participating in the camp.
During the visit the cadets got an opportunity to interact with the soldiers guarding the Borders and gain firsthand experience of their daily routine and experience elite and elan of an Army Unit.
The participants describe the trip as a dream visit and said the memories will be remembered by them throughout their life. The sense of patriotism experienced by the cadets after meeting the army and BSF personnel will stay with them throughout their lives, as most of them had seen the border fencing and forward areas only on TV.
The cadets also witnessed a well covered Photo Exhibition of Tourist Destinations and display of adventure equipments by J&K Tourism department. The Tourism department presented State as a Visitors paradise and Tourism bouquet was supplemented with documentary and a PowerPoint Presentation made by Director Tourism Mr R S Mehta. In the foray the Department of Tourism made special Paragliding demonstration in which Cadets actively participated.
