Police distributes sewing machines among destitute families

KISHTWAR, Oct 14: In order to reach out to poor people of district, Kishtwar police today distributed sewing machines among the 10 destitute families.
Under ‘Civic Action Plan’, Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Kishtwar Thakur Kulbir Singh along with Deputy Superintendent Police (DAR) Mushtaq Sheikh distributed sewing machines among 10 females. Aim and object of “Civic Action Plan” is to provide help to the orphan and destitute families so that they can stand on their own feet but earning their livelihood for his family.
Among the beneficiaries, most of the females are widows. On this occasion, ASP Kishtwar Thakur Kulbir Singh said that Jammu and Kashmir police is committed to organize these kind of programs in future as well. He said that poor and down trodden families of Kishtwar district will find helping hand of Kishtwar police at his doorstep.
