| Chib inaugurates Ad, workshop block at women ITI | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, OCTOBER 15- Minister for Medical and Technical Education, Youth Services and Sports, Mr. R.S. Chib today inaugurated Administrative and Workshop Block at Women ITI Jammu,, Boys Hostel and BBBT Block at Government Industrial Institute Canal Road constructed by JKPCC and Housing Board at a cost of Rs. 2 crore .
MLA, West, Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta, Director Technical Education, Mr. Saurabh Bhagat, Principal ITI, Jammu, Er. Mohd. Iqbal Kohli, General Manager JKPCC, faculty members, students and prominent citizens were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Chib said that ITI Canal Road Jammu was established in the year 1958 and over the years witnessed massive progress. He said at present the ITI has 32 units with an intake capacity of about 600 and 100 apprentices in all trades. He informed that this institution has placed a large number of students in different national and multi-national companies through campus selection and achieved many other appreciable goals. He stated that under Skill Development Mission this institute has been given a target to train 600 students which include 450 from outside and 150 from within the state.
