The 300-km long Jammu-Srinagar national highway closed for vehicular traffic this morning due to landslides at Panthal, 150 kms from here, official sources said.
Heavy rains triggered landslides at Panthal area in Doda district, blocking the highway for vehicular traffic, sources said. Over 200 vehicles are stranded on the highway and Border Roads Organisation personnel are waiting for the landslides to stop before they can begin clearing the 200 metre patch at Panthal, sources said. |
