NIA team returns to Delhi along with CCTV footage of JK Bank ATM

KISHTWAR, Oct 15: National Investigating Agency (NIA) probing September 7,2011 blast outside Delhi High Court return back to Delhi from Kishtwar Yesterday evening after securing the Close Circuit Television (CCTV) footage of ATM of Jammu and Kashmir Bank at Kishtwar.
According to reports after demanding the CCTV footage from Jammu and Kashmir Bank Kishtwar, the bank officials handed over the same to Additional Superintendent of Police Kishtwar Thakur Kulbir Singh, who reportedly handed over the same to NIA. The officials of the Jammu and Kashmir Bank at Kishtwar confirmed the handing over of CCTV footage to police. "We have received the letter from NIA, in which they demanded for CCTV footage of ATM's and according we provided them the whole footage available with us." Officials of bank informed on the condition of anonymity. The officials of the bank said that they have no knowledge about what the CCTV footage contains. "What we know is only that NIA have asked us for CCTV footage required by them for investigation purpose." Said bank officials. According to the NIA sources, CCTV footage contains the video of Dr. Wasim Akram Malik, who reportedly accessed the bank ATM on 4-09-2011 and withdrew the cash from the ATM of Jammu and Kashmir Bank. The NIA sources said that they suspect that instead of Dr. Wasim Akram Malik, some other person makes the transaction from the ATM of Dr. Wasim Akram Malik. The sources said that in order to check the inputs, they secured the CCTV footage of the bank in the form of DVD's/CD's. When asked whether the NIA have watched the CCTV footage or not, the sources said that NIA is still to watch the full CCTV footage and only after its proper access, NIA will reach some conclusion about the possible transaction of cash from the ATM card of Dr. Wasim Akram Malik. The sources said that even after more than one week has passed; NIA is yet to recover the missing laptop of Dr. Wasim Akram Malik. The sources said that NIA is on job to unveil the faces involved behind the Delhi High Court blast claiming the lives of 15 innocent people and injuring as many as 80 others.
