EDS organizes seminar on ‘Role of Students for Developing Nation’

Doda: Today Educational Development Society (EDS) Doda organized a grand function in collaboration with All India Student Federation District Council Doda at Govt. Hr.Sec. School Jatheli, (Prem Nagar) Doda on the Topic "Role of Students for developing a nation"
On the occasion, Major Prashant (8 RR Arnora, Doda) was the chief guest and Neelam Gupta (principal Hr. Sec. School Jatheli ) was guest of honour.
While addressing the students of H.S.S. Jatheli Major Prashant said that there is a crucial role of students in the development of a nation and the students have to play it.
He stressed that the basic duty of a student is to study so that the future of the country will be fully educated and literate.
Mukesh K. Parihar president of Educational Development Society (EDS) Doda said we are organizing these types of seminars in each and every Higher Secondary especially in rural areas so that a platform could be provided to the rural students who have limited resources and are lacking in basic facilities.
He also said that later on this seminar will be organized at district level also.
In the seminar many students took part and delivered there thoughts on the said topic. In the Seminar prizes and certificates were distributed among the participants. Usha Devi, Yassir Arfat and Girja Rani got 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes respectively others who participate in the seminar includes Naveeda Akhtar, Shaveta Rani, Akhtar Hussain , Ankush Kumar and Santosha Devi.
At the end vice principal (GHSS Jatheli) Abdul Latief Batt presented vote of thanks. Koshal Sharma (dy. gen secretary) was the programme co-ordinator and the seminar was hosted by Pankaj Sharma and Fozia Banoo (vice-presidents)
Others who were present in the seminar included Anmol Singh Rana (gen secretary AISF) Neeraj Padha (press secretary) Hayat-un-Nisa, Pinky Parihar and Sapna Sharma.
