Bhan rubbishes interlocutors report | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Srinagar, Oct 16 Rubbishing the interlocutors report senior Congress leader and Supreme Court lawyer Ashok Bhan Sunday said the interlocutors have not been fair and just to the “ethnic cleansing” of Kashmiri Pandits. Speaking to a gathering of Kashmiris in Delhi today, Bhan said, “Interlocutors may have visited the three regions and met several people, yet the exercise undertaken by them lacked faith, confidence and credibility as no stakeholders who have created the current agitating political atmospherics or the separatists leaders ever met them.” “This wasteful exercise proved yet another form of political skullduggery and lack of political sensibility. It is like fools rush in where angels fear to tread,” he added. Bhan said that resolution of Kashmir imbroglio had been attempted by Pt. Jawhar lal Nehru, Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi, P V Narsimha Rao and Atal Bihari Vajpayee. “In today’s context when Kashmiri Pandits been hounded out of homeland, when Kashmiri Muslims are enormously suffering, when regional divide is glaring, Delhi requires to be more pro active to resolve Kashmir Imbroglio more sensibly, astutely and competently keeping in view the dignity, sensitivities and aspirations of all the stakeholders,” he said. Bhan urged the Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh to personally take up the Kashmir affairs and sincerely attempt to resolve the sufferings of the people of the State.
