| JU drops kho-kho, kabaddi teams | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Oct 16: Failing to raise teams, the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education of University of Jammu (JU) dropped three teams from participation in the inter-university competitions.
In kho-kho, both men and women teams could not be sent after the authorities concerned failed to raise the teams. Both the events were scheduled to be held at Dr RML Avadh University, Uttar Pradesh from October three.
Women’s Kabaddi was another discipline for which JU could not raise the team. The event was scheduled to be held from October three at Kurukshetra University, Haryana.
When contacted Assistant Director, Dr Sonam Angchok said, “Since both the events of kho-kho and kabaddi are yet to be organised as part of inter-college competitions, we could not find the right stuff, so teams have been dropped.”
