Duggar Vikas Manch finalises Accession Day celebrations

JAMMU, Oct 16:Duggar Vikas Manch held a meeting at Dogra Sadar Sabha here today of its Executive Members to discuss about the arrangements of the major activity to be organised by it regarding the ‘Accession Day Celebrations’ of J&K State with the Union of India.
The Meeting commenced with two minutes silence to pray for the departed souls of those Students of Science College Jammu who lost their lives in an agitation in 1966 against the misrule of Kashmiri Hukamran.
During the meeting which was presided over by Prof Devinder Sharma, Patron of Dogra Brahaman Pratinidhi Sabha Jammu, the programs to be organised by Duggar Vikas Manch of celebrating the Accession Day of J&K State with the Union of India were discussed.
Convener of the forum, Dineshwar Singh Jamwal briefed the august gathering the details of the program to be held at Jammu. He informed the august gathering that the main function of the forum shall be organised in Jammu, in which a procession of Students of various Institutions & Schools, representative heads of various prominent organisations & market associations shall participate. This procession shall be organised on the eve of Accession Day i.e. on 25th October 2011, which shall start from Historical Mubarakh Mandi Complex Jammu and after passing through various main Bazars of Jammu shall culminate at the Mubarakh Mandi Complex. He further told that The Flag Hoisting Ceremony shall be organised on 26th of October at the Historical Mubarakh Mandi Complex, the most important symbol of Dogra Empire and the symbol of Dogra Rule before 26th October 1947, the day J&K State acceded with the Union of India & the day Maharaja Hari Singh signed the Instrument of Accession with the Dominion of India which was accepted by Lord Louis Mountbatten, The Governor General of India. He informed that the representatives of various Sabhas have agreed that they shall decorate their Sabha Bhawans and the representatives of various market associations of Jammu have agreed that they shall decorate their respective markets on the Doubly Happy Occasion of Diwali & Accession Day of J&K State with the Union of India. Prominent among others who were present in the meeting included Adv. S. Surinder Singh, Sh. Sat Pal, President Saryara Sadar Sabha Jammu, Sh. Krishan Lal Gupta, Chairman Rajinder Bazar Jammu, M.R. Bhagat, President All J&K Megh Sudhar Sabha, Sh. Ravinder Mittal, V. President Aggarwal Sabha Jammu, Sh. P.K.Thappa, GRD Sabha Jammu, Sh. Surinder Mahajan, President Raghunath Bazar Jammu, Sh. Sunil Kumar Sharma, President Virmarg (Residency Road) Jammu, Sh. Jasbir Singh, President AEA Jammu, Sh. Ravi Singh Manager MAM Stdm, Jammu, Sh. Suraj Kumar, Gen. secretary Saryara Sadar Sabha Jammu.
