“Biwi-O-Biwi” draws unprecedented applause

Jammu, Oct 16: On the second day of Dramatis’ fusica 2011 organised by Nav Durga Kala Manch, Rangbhoomi came up with a hilarious comedy play “Biwi-o-Biwi based on the daily anecdotes of a couple where woman power is shown as riding upon male bastion.
Shashi Bhushan’ gave the story line idea which was innovatively made up by the Aaditya and his team. Ganesh Digital Studio, Gandhi Nagar(Goldy Sharma) and Anamika Arts are sponsoring the event.
The play directed by Aaditya Bhanu was a direct satire on the man woman relation when the latter part overrides on the male dominance and makes her husband play to the tune of her commands.
The central core theme of the play was based on a routine affair in a household where a man is seen bucked under the pressure of his wife who is quite extravagant in contrast to her husband who is very miser and tries to escape from his spendthrift wife.
In the process he is seen obeying all commands of his wife who trains several guns on his husband while keeping him under his control.
Various hilarious pieces are enacted in the course that generate laughter besides giving a message across that though there is general perception about the women being discriminated in the society rules on the male dominance when a given chance.
Tarun Sudershan Vasson, Reetu Manhas, Deepak Jamwal, Dilshad Shazi. Anil Kotwal. Tarun Sharma, Sakshi Dogra made up the strong team in Biwi-O-Biwi. Music was done by Dilshad Shazi, lights by Tarun Sharma and make up was taken care of by Reetu Manhas.
Prof. Raj Kumar, well known literary personality, presented as a chief guest on the occasion. Vikram Sharma, the renowned stage director and artist, Vijay (Anamika Arts) and Santosh Sangra, the senior most female stage artist as the adjudicators of the event which would be adjudicating the event for various categories. Rajneesh Gupta, the prominent writer of the state is giving moral support to the event.
Tomorrow, Bawa Jitmal written by Dr. Gian Singh by Abhinay school of music, dance and dramatic arts would be performed at the Performing Art Studio, Tangewali Gali, Kachi Chowni, Jammu.
