Two booked in fake PRCs case | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Oct 17:Police have unearthed a fake Permanent Resident Certificates racket by arresting two real brothers. Police spokesman said that two real brothers identified as Madan Lal and Surinder Kumar, sons of Mulkh Raj of Arnia filed applications with the Tehsildar Bishnah, Rakesh Sharma seeking Caste Certificates in their as well as their four children. During the scrutiny of the documents, Tehsildar become suspicious about the PRCs and approached the issuing authority Additional Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Sheetal Nanda. However, it came to fore that Nanda has not remained issuing authority of PRC in tehsil Bishnah so far. Accordingly, Tehsildar Bishnah approached Arnia Police and a case under Section 420, 467, 468 and 471 was registered against Mohan Lal and Surinder Kumar. Besides on their names, the accused were seeking Caste Certificates on the basis of fake PRCs for their children Rohini, Diksha, Kanaya Lal and Sumit Kumar, police said. The case was being investigated by SHO Arnia Arjun Singh Chib under the supervision of SP Headquarters Shailender Singh.
