UPMA deputation meets Azad at Bhaderwah | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT DODA, Oct 17:A deputation of Unemployed Para-Medical Association District Doda yesterday met with Union Health Minister of India and Former Chief Minister J&K, Ghulam Nabi Azad at Bhaderwah. The deputation was led by UPMA Vice-President Javeed Iqbal Shiekh who apprises Azad with various problems being faced by the unemployed para-medical diploma holders of the District Doda. Sheikh said that earlier during the last year, the health minister J&K Shri Sham Lal Sharma and Director Mission NRHM had assured them for inclusion of Pharmacists and Male Multipurpose Health Workers (MMPHW) diploma holders in NRHM scheme pattern but still they did not do so resulting into which the these diploma holders are suffering badly. They also informed Azad that more than hundreds of these diploma holders are at the verge of over age and request him to look into the matter personally keeping in view the problems and the future of these diploma holders who future is at stake. After hearing UPMA, the Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad gave a patient hearing to them and said that there demands will be taken up for early redressal. Those present with the deputation included Sartaj Natnoo, Irfan Sheikh, Parshotam Singh, Sindoor Singh, Arshad Zargar and Arif Zargar.
