| Cultural camp inaugurated at GDC Udhampur | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Udhampur Oct 17: A cultural camp on dance, drama, painting and singing was inaugurated at Govt. Degree College Udhampur in which principal of the college Nutan Kumar Resutra was the chief guest.
Organised by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell of the College in collaboration with Rinchen Zangpo Art Gallery University of Jammu and Royal Dogra Club the camp shall train the students from the host college, women’s college Udhampur and GDC Ramnagar in various fields of art.
In his inaugural address Resutra congratulated the organizers and said that art improves our personality and our overall approach to life by nourishing our souls.
“It makes us better human beings”, he added. Arun Basnotra performed on this occasion .
Earlier the program began with the lighting the traditional lamp by the dignitaries. Sudhir Singh , convenor IQAC gave details of the camp in his welcome address.
Kamal Kishore, Romika Bassin, Samosh and Deepak Sharma were prominently present along with students of the college.
Later technical sessions were conducted by the resource persons. The camp shall continue till 23rd Oct. 2011.
The camp is a part of month long workshop titled Pratibha organised by Zangpo Art Gallery University of Jammu which is focused to explore the talent among the youth and provide them a platform for further growth.
