| NCC National Integration Camp Scintillating cultural events mark day 7 | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, OCTOBER 17- Scintillating cultural programmes by the participants and the Department of Information Jammu division marked the seventh day of the ongoing NCC National Integration camp here at Nagrota.
About 500 cadets representing all states and Union territories of the country are attending the camp. From Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh to Kutch in Gujrat and Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu to Padam in Leh district, all nooks and corners of the country are being represented with the camping Ground giving an impression of “Mini India”.
During the camp the participants were acquainted with the day to day activities concerning human life and the protection of frontiers by valiant soldiers of the country.
Various state and central departments, besides army orgnasied various programmes to make the participants aware about the cultural, social and economic aspects of the state.
Today a well rehearsed Guard of Honour by the cadets was followed by a colourful entertainment programme. The cadets presented items showcasing the rich cultural heritage of their respective States. The icing on the cake was the fusion dances done on the folk songs of J&K by boys and girls of other States.
Later, in the evening Department of Information Jammu division also presented a cultural programme depicting and showcasing colorful mosaic of state of Jammu and Kashmir.
Joint Director Department of Information, Mr Soujanya Sharma was the chief guest on the occasion.
Addressing the participants, Mr Soujanya congratulated the participants for being a part of the National Integration camp He hoped that they would act as the ambassadors of peace and mutual brotherhood and share their experience and knowledge they have gained at the camp with their people at their respective places.
