Owais shines in J&K’s 10-wkt loss | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT SRINAGAR, Oct 17: Despite a 10-wicket loss of host Jammu and Kashmir, young Owais Shah excelled by completing his century against a strong side of Haryana in the C K Naidu (U-22) Cricket Tournament at Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket Stadium, here today. Bowling out J&K at a score of 360 runs, Haryana tasted the win by making required five runs without any loss this morning. Earlier, J&K could add only 34 runs to their overnight score losing two remaining wickets in the process. But by the time J&K lost their last man, Owais had already completed his century making 108 runs. Owais’ superb innings included 14 hits to the fence. It may be recalled here that J&K in their first innings made 175 runs and in reply, Haryana set a big total of 531 for eight declared, which included 194 coming from Abhimanyu.
