| Khajuria gets start black topping work | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Oct 17: MLA Jammu East Ashok Khajuria alongwith District President Rajesh Gupta got the work started for black topping of road from Mubarak Mandi to Radio Station Chowk.
Speaking on the occasion, Ashok Khajuria said that the roads and lanes in most of the areas of old city have been dug by the NBCC for laying of sewerage pipes.
Although the pipes have been laid but no proper covering, levelling and black topping had been done. The people have been repeatedly coming on roads against the delay in making roads and lanes suitable for use.
Not only the vehicles but the pedestrians-including aged-people, school going children and women were facing problems for the last so many months.
He said with the completion of black topping of this roads, people will get some relief but still many areas which need immediate repairs, levelling and black topping of roads and lanes. He expressed hope that the government will direct the concerned department to take the remaining work on war footing so that people do not face any more problems on the coming festivals.
Rajesh Gupta thanked the MLA for taking keen interest in getting the problems of the people solved. He said that Ashok Khajuria has been putting his best efforts to get the developmental activities under taken in each and every area.
