| JJSF pays homage to martyrs of 1966 | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Oct 17:Continuing its fast on the 2nd consecutive day, Jammu Joint Students’ Federation today paid homage to martyrs of 1966.
On the 2nd day Principal SPMR College of Commerce Prof J L Bhagat, Principal MAM College Dr. Ajit Angral along with the staff members paid floral tribute at Shaheedi Stambh at Shaheedi Sthal GGM Sc. College Jammu.
Later both the Principals alongwith the staff members offered garland to the four activists of JJSF including Sahil Singh (President JJSF Sc. College), Irfan Khanji, Dheeraj Sharma, Sahil Choudhary who were continuing their fast at Shaheedi Sthal in the memory of martyrs who laid their lives for the cause of Jammu region. Speaking on the occasion, Rajinder Singh Munna (President JJSF) said that the sacrifice of the martyrs (Brij Mohan, Subash Chander, Gulshan Handa and Guru Charan Singh) is unforgettable as they had faced the brutal action of the administration while raising their voice against the discrimination with Jammu region and laid their lives for the sake of Jammu.
He also said that like every year, this year also JJSF will perform a Havan in the memory of the Martyr’s at Shaheedi Sthal tomorrow morning.
