10/17/2011 10:25:33 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu/ Srinagar, 17 October 2011: A Re-Union of KAS 2001 Batch Officers was organized yesterday on Sunday evening both at Jammu and Srinagar to celebrate 10 years of successful contribution towards public welfare and giving responsible administration in various nooks and corners of the state. The gatherings at both the venues located at Jammu and Srinagar witnessed a very healthy presence of officers from General Services, Police and Accounts who shared their experiences alongwith discussing about their future visions and targets by performing at senior positions in different capacities over the next decade.
It was firmly resolved at both the places that this huge batch of more than 200 officers who are serving in the middle rungs of Civil Administration in the state of Jammu and Kashmir should leave no stone unturned in giving a transparent, accountable and fair administration and bringing a paradigm shift in the perception of a common man about the approachability and deliverance of public services in various spheres. Everyone in the meet was unanimous about the fact that the interest of servitude for the masses of the state should come first and foremost above personal interests as has always happened in the past. The glaring examples in this context have already come into effect when many of the batch mates have already successfully served in toughest Sub Divisions and Districts of the state and converted them into most vibrant and happening places with their constant efforts and determination.
It was also decided that all batch mates who have still not joined closed group of KAS 2001 on Facebook (social networking site) should be pushed to join this wonderful consortium surely before next such meet so that it becomes a wonderful platform for healthy interaction, thought sharing and planning for efficient administration in future. Moreover, they once again reiterated the resolve of meeting regularly on quarterly basis so as to develop strong bonding among all batch mates belonging to General, Police and Accounts Services.
