| Shiv Sena against enforcement of Roshni Act | | |

Shiv Sena workers under the leadership of Ashok Gupta today took out a protest rally against the enforcement of Roshni Act today.
Addressing the demonstrators, Gupta highlighted the repercussions of the act on poor formers and added that farmers, who have more than ten kanals of land will suffer the most as they will have no land to feed their families and live stock. Gupta further said, that Roshni act is totally silent with regard to the land occupied by the Pakistani refugees. He demanded that a white paper on how much land was in the legal occupation of politicians and bureaucrats in the state.
Gupta also said the area in front of Raghunath Bazar, to lower Tawi belongs to Nazool, but has been converted into private land. He said that the The matter should be investigated and action be taken as that land is worth Rs. 75 crore. Those, who, were present on the occasion included Sham Lal, Lal Singh, Darshan Gupta, Lekha Ram and Suresh Gupta and others.
