| Mangat files complaint | | Court issues non-bail warrants against President BJP, former GS | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, October-18:- The Court of Second Additional Sessions Judge issued non-bailable warrants against the accused in a complaint filed by Mangat Ram Sharma in this capacity as cabinet minister.
The complainant has submitted that while addressing a press conference on October 3, 2007, the accused Shamsher Singh Manhas former General Secretary BJP and Presently President BJP JK and Bali Bhagat made written and oral defamatory statements against complainant Pt Mangat Ram Sharma which was highlighted in print/electronic media. This was intentionally done by the accused knowing that such imputations were bound to harm the reputation of the complainant. The accused also started character assassination campaign by making willful and reckless denigrating and defamatory statements and prayed for initiating process against the accused.
