KISHTWAR, Oct 18:Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) leader Shakir Siddiqui has criticized the statement of Mustafa Kamaal, Additional General Secretary and spokesman of National Conference that PDP was the product of BJP.
Siddiqui has reminded Kamaal that NC is power hungry and it was NC which had an alliance with BJP at the centre in NDA Govt led by Atal Behari Vajpayee. He said that NC is worried with the growing popularity of PDP in the state and PDP has successfully exposed the NC Govt
Siddiqui said that the mysterious death of Syed Yousuf Shah a staunch worker of NC is self explanatory and is enough to vindicate PDP’s stand.
He said that Shah gave his everything to the party but NC did not even spare him for monetary consideration.
Siddiqui said that the Govt is least bothered about common man as it is busy in minting money by hook or crook. Siddiqui has demanded CBI probe of Yousuf’s death so that everything comes before the people.
He also demanded unconditional resignation of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah as he has no moral right to stay in office.
Siddiqui said that Kamal and others are trying to divert the attention of people from real issues like price rise, rising corruption, unemployment besides worsening law and order situation. He said that people of the state can not be befooled any longer now.
