JK SRTC employees to go on ‘chakka jam’ on October 20 | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, October 18 : : Asserting that the government has failed to fulfill their demands, Jammu and Kashmir State Road Transport Corporation (SRTC) employees today shut down their workshops and called for ‘ chakka jam’ on October 20. “We have observed two-day shut down of workshops on October 19 and 20 in protest against state government for not addressing or grievances and if our demands will not be met, complete ‘chakka jam’ will be observed on October 20,” Ashok Mehra, a Union leader said. He said the decision was taken in a meeting held at Srinagar under the banner of Jammu and Kashmir State Road Transport Workers Union. He, however, said besides implementation of Sixth Pay Commission is also one of major and long pending demands of the SRTC employees, which is being lingered on the government.
