| Sharma honours participants of Table Soccer C’ship | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Oct 19:The team of J&K Table Soccer which participated in VIIth Rajiv Gandhi National Table Soccer Championship at Parwanoo, Himachal Pradesh was felicitated here today.
Addressing a press conference here today, BJYM State President Munish Sharma, said that J&K Table Soccer Association had sent its team to take part in the championship, which commenced on October 4 and concluded on October 16.
Rahul Jamwal Chairman of Table Soccer Association J&K said that the 7th Championship was managed and organized by Himachal Table Soccer Association under the banner of Table Soccer Federation of India.
He added that it is for the time that team from J&K State participated in the 7th Rajiv Gandhi National Championship in which 45 sports person participated. Out of 45 sports persons 25 deserving sports were honoured with Medals, in which 3 Gold Medals, 5 Silver and 17 Bronze Medals were awarded.
He emphasized that it is for the first time in the history of J&K that 25 medals have been achieved by the sports person in table soccer sports.
