| Mankotia inaugurates WSS at Seen Thakran | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
UDHAMPUR, Oct 19:Member Legislative Assembly Udhampur, Balwant Singh Mankotia inaugurated a Water Supply Scheme at Seen Thakran in Udhampur district here today.Completed at a cost of Rs 96 lakh, the scheme would benefit 2600 souls of the nearby villages which mainly include Aassi, Thal, Flata and Seen Thakran.
Speaking on the occasion, Mankotia complemented the inhabitants of the area for getting their long pending demand fulfilled. To provide better road connectivity to the people of village Seen Thakran and its adjoining areas, the MLA directed the officers of R&B department to initiate tendering process for the up-gradation of Flata to Seen Thakran link road immediately so that work on this road could be started soon.
He said that Middle School Flata would be upgraded to the High School level soon for the convenience of the student community.
Keeping in view the low voltage problem in area, Mankotia also announced the installation of a new power transformer out of his Constituency Development Fund (CDF). Among others officers of PHE, R&B, PDD, PMGSY, BMO Tikri, BDO Udhampur, District Social Welfare Officer, SHO Rehmbal, AD Food Supply, TSO Udhampur, AD Fishery, Chief Animal Husbandry, Chief Agriculture Officer, Chief Horticulture Officer, Joint Director Floriculture, DYS&SO and people in large number were present on the occasion.
