| Ensure proper arrangements for Haj pilgrims: Tarigami | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
SRINAGAR, Oct 19:CPI State Secretary M Y Tarigami has expressed his anguish over media reports about lack of arrangements for Haj pilgrims at Haj House and Srinagar Airport.
In a statement issued here today, Tarigami has said that government should ensure proper arrangements at Haj House so that pilgrims are not subjected to hassles. “It astonishes that despite tall claims made by the government months before about the arrangements made for this scared journey, the Haj pilgrims and their families have protested about the lack of planning and coordination at Haj house and Srinagar airport. The government must ensure a hassle free travel for Haj pilgrims,” Tarigami has observed.
The government, Tarigami said, must also not subject Haj pilgrims to wait for long hours at Haj House and Srinagar airport. “Since most of the Haj pilgrims are senior citizens, the government must ensure that they are not put to long waits and avoidable inconvenience,” the CPI (M) State Secretary has remarked.
