| Army Vice-Chief reviews operational preparedness | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU OCT 19 : Army Vice-Chief Lt Gen A S Lamba today reviewed operational preparedness of the force and discussed the prevailing security situation in Jammu and Kashmir.
Lt Gen Lamba, who is on a two-day visit, arrived at Army's Northern Command at Udhampur, 65 km from here, a defence spokesman said.
The senior army officer discussed and reviewed the operational preparedness of Northern Command and current security situation in J-K with Northern Army Commander Lt Gen K T Parnaik.
Lt Gen Lamba also interacted with senior officer at the command headquarters and held discussions on issues pertaining to infrastructure development and equipment profile in the Northern theatre.
