| NC demands tehsil status for Balakota | | |

Rajouri Dec,21 The Block Office bearers of National Conference Block Balakote was held under the Chairmanship of Block President, in which organizational matters, public importance issues also came under discussion.
The meeting demanded re vival of Tehsil Status to Block Balakote, which has been swapped in the year 1967. The people demanded that keeping in view the topography of the Block, Tehsil Status be granted. The meeting also demanded that Polic Station Balakote which has been shifted be reinstated at Balakote, in the larger interest of the general public.
The meeting expressed concerned over the non-issuance of ration to the BPL families in the Block. They demanded that a fresh BPL survey be conducted and new incumbents be included in the BPL lists.
