Cabinet Sec arriving on Oct 23, 24 | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Srinagar, Oct 19: The Cabinet Secretary Ajit Kumar Seth who was earlier scheduled to visit Kashmir on October 9, but postponed his visit at the last moment, is arriving visit here on October 23 and 24, sources told KNS. They said Seth will review development, employment opportunities and security situation in the state during his two day visit. The state government has asked all the head of departments to remain available on the said dates as Seth will be holding several meetings with the higher rung officers during his stay here. Chief Secretary Madhav Lal’s Special Secretary vide letter number PS/CS-10/2011 (visit) dated 14-10-2011 has asked all the head of departments to remain in readiness as the Cabinet Secretary will be taking meetings with the officers of the state administration. This would be for the first time in the past two years that the cabinet secretary would be visiting the state. Sources said Seth would be reviving the status and progress of different centrally sponsored schemes, particularly the flagship Prime Minister’s Reconstruction Programme (PMRP) and Rs 2000 crore job plan rolled out in March this year by the Prime Minister’s Economic Advisory Council led by Dr C Rangarajan.
