| Gulshan Books launches series of titles | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Srinagar, Oct 15: Kashmir’s ‘premiere’ publishing house Gulshan Books has released a multitude of titles related to Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh catering to a whole host of subjects that include politics, social issues, religion, culture, flora and fauna, Sufism etc. The fresh release of Gulshan books comprises of 71 titles.
Written by experts, both Kashmiri and non-Kashmiri, the books are billed as master works on Kashmir based on researches of long years, even decades in certain cases.
‘Some of the works in this series have been published for the first time. For example, no book on flora and fauna of Kashmir had ever been marketed,” says Sheikh Ajaz, Director Gulshan Books. ‘There are many other works in this series that are unprecedented,” he says.
All the seventy one titles are hardback with a special emphasis on the visual impact as well. “We’ve tried our best to design them as aesthetically as we could to match the quality of the work these books contain,” says Sheikh Ajaz.
