| NSF asks CU VC to remove OSD | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Oct 19:The National Secular Forum (NSF) has asked the Vice Chancellor, Central University of Jammu to immediately remove OSD (Admn) Dr P S Pathania from the post, otherwise threatened to launch full fledged agitation against the University administration.
Addressing a press conference here today, NSF president Vikas Sharma alleged,” There are many cases of corruption pending against Dr Pathania in University of Jammu. He committed several frauds in JU misusing his official positions. Now, the cases are being probed by high level enquiry committee headed by Chief Secretary Madhav Lal."
This is highly unfortunate thing that widely experienced and thorough gentleman, who is now the Vice Chancellor of Central University took the services of an alleged corrupt person like Dr Pathania, he added. He further said that it is inception of the Central University and VC Dr S S Baloria made a wrong beginning by calling Dr Pathania on deputation to the University. He requested Dr Baloria to immediately rectify his mistake vis-a-vis deputation of Pathania and save the prestigious upcoming University from the clutches of corruption. He hoped that Dr Baloria would verify the credentials of Pathania from JU Vice Chancellor and Higher Education Department and soon make amendment in his unwise decision. Sharma cautioned Dr Baloria that a corrupt person like Dr Pathania will pollute the upcoming University with corruption at the very onset which would not be a good precedence for the future. If Pathania will resort to any corrupt practice the responsibility would be on the new VC. And, NSF doesn't want that Dr Baloria's distinguished career will be blotted. He announced that if VC won't rectify his mistake, the activists of NSF will stage demonstration in front of the VC office.
