| Akram's Bangladeshi Bank Account under NIA scanner | | Rashid comes clean in Delhi Blast | | Asif Iqbal Naik
KISHTWAR, Oct 19: National Investigating Agency (NIA) probing Delhi High Court blast has given clean chit to Dr Wasim Rashid Sheikh Son of Abdul Rashid Sheikh Resident of Sangrabata Kishtwar after questioning him at Delhi last week.
Dr Wasim Rashid Sheikh and accused Dr Wasim Akram Malik are college mates in Dhaka.
The sources said that NIA have also inquired about missing laptop of Dr Wasim Akram Malik. "We have given him (Dr Wasim Rashid Sheikh) clean chit in Delhi High Court blast, as nothing adverse was found against him", said the sources.
The NIA team has returned to Kishtwar after getting some fresh leads from interrogation of accused Dr Wasim Akram Malik.
Meanwhile the sources said that there was a huge transaction of money from Dhaka into the account of Dr Wasim Akram Malik. "We have detected huge transaction of money from personal account of Dr. Wasim Akram Malik in Dhaka and we are looking into it on broader prospective", the sources added.
The sources said that NIA with the help of Bangladeshi government is looking for other accounts that are being used at the time of transaction. "We are scrutinizing the accounts either used to withdrawal or deposition of the cash in account of Dr. Wasim Akram Malik", sources said.
However the sources said that success continuous to elude the NIA team as far as recovery of missing laptop of Dr Wasim Akram Malik was concerned.
The sources said that NIA is also verifying the email account of Akram Malik for which they already seek the help of cyber expert to trace out the Internet Protocol (IP) addresses of received/sent emails. |
